The Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto, invites applications for a full time tenure-stream appointment in the area of Organizational Behaviour. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence on July 1, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.
We seek candidates who have earned a Ph.D. degree by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter, in organizational behaviour, health services research, social psychology, management sciences, or other relevant fields.
The successful candidate should also have a demonstrated record of excellence, appropriate to the level of experience, in both teaching and research in organizational behaviour, a proven ability to lead, or emerging promise as a leader of, collaborative, multi-/inter- disciplinary research, and potential to secure peer-reviewed funding. Excellence in research would include evidence of an emerging reputation in research as demonstrated by an ability to attract research funding, publication in appropriate peer-reviewed journals, research in progress, and strong endorsements by referees of high international standing. Successful candidates will have interests in, or a demonstrated aptitude for, integrating knowledge users, policy makers and members of the public in their research. Excellence in teaching will be demonstrated through a strong teaching dossier, including a statement of teaching philosophy, teaching evaluations, and a record of previous teaching accomplishments and innovations submitted as part of the application, as well strong endorsements from referees of high standing.
The successful candidate will teach courses in micro- and meso- organizational behaviour for professional and research stream students and will have the opportunity to assume academic leadership positions including advancing the curricula related to management and organization science in IHPME’s professional and research programs.
