Job Responsibilities: 

The Health Economics Core within the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore is now accepting applications for the following positions – Research Fellows, Research Associates and Research Assistants in the areas of Health Economics (HE), Health Technology Assessment (HTA), and Health Services Research (HSR). 

The positions are to assist clinical investigators and senior health economists in high value health economic research endeavors. These include research projects, journal publications, research grants, and process improvement activities with a primary objective to increase capacity for health economics and health technology assessment within the broader SingHealth Academic Medical Centre community. The tasks include conducting cost-effectiveness analyses, econometric and statistical analyses of empirical data, literature reviews, preparation of manuscripts, development of proposals and grant applications, and other related activities.  

Job Requirements: 

RESEARCH FELLOWS should have the following qualities:

•PhD or equivalent in economics, health services research or a related field

•Demonstrated interest in HE, HSR, and HTA

•Experience with cost-effectiveness analyses and decision modelling using packages such as SAS, STATA or TREEAGE

•Demonstrated ability to conduct econometric and statistical analyses

•Proven record of writing applied and/or methodological academic papers

•Good time-management skills, able to effectively manage various project teams and contribute to grant proposals and manuscripts

•Able to work independently and in team setting, interact with stakeholders,  including clinicians and other health care professionals 

RESEARCH ASSOCIATES/RESEARCH ASSISTANTS should have the following qualities:

•Masters or Bachelors Degree in a quantitative discipline, including economics, mathematics, statistics or related field

•A demonstrated interest in the Heath Economics or health technology assessment

•Experience in quantitative data analysis with statistical/decision modelling packages such as SAS, or STATA or TREEAGE 

•Proficiency with MS Office Suite

•Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

•Able to multi-task and work productively in teams, under the supervision of senior staff
